Metronor is a Norwegian technology company that develops high-precision optical measurement systems used for positioning, alignment, and quality control. These tools are crucial when it comes to measuring, verifying, and ensuring accuracy in complex engineering and production processes.
The systems Metronor provides are incredibly helpful for several of the groups and departments in Revolve NTNU. Our chassis group uses Metronor“s measurement tools to validate the geometry of our chassis, and aerodynamics uses their tools to scan the car when it is completely finished. This way, we can find out if our computer models match the final product. This gives us information that we can use to improve the production quality and accuracy in the future, on the cars we will build in the coming years.

Metronor“s equipment is also used by the software department in Revolve NTNU. The measurement tools Metronor produces are extremely precise, and our autonomous systems group use them to measure the positions of marks that are in turn used to calibrate the cameras our car uses when it drives autonomously. When every tenth of a second counts on the racetrack, it is important that the information we receive from the cameras is accurate and calibrated.

The equipment Metronor provides is crucial to ensure precision in several of our operations, across our departments.
We are incredibly grateful for your partnership and help, and we are looking forward to seeing what more we can achieve together in the future!
