Power systems is a group that works with high and low-voltage power systems, mechanics, material science, and aero and fluid dynamics. The heaviest system in the group is the accumulator - our 600 V battery package. This is a system that relies on the interaction between mechanical elements in composites, logical programming, and high and low-voltage electronics. The battery sends electricity to the inverter, which converts DC to AC power. This makes it possible for the motors to use the energy from the battery. Wiring harness, both high and low voltage, connects the whole car and is also a part of power systems. In addition, the group is responsible for the car’s cooling system, where both air and water cooling is used to keep several parts of the car at optimal running temperature. As the group leader for power systems you will be able to test your leadership skills in practice. You will be intervening in technical design, counseling, optimizing, and industrial production. It’s a group where you will get experience in both electrical and mechanical work. You will have a responsibility for making your group members perform at their best throughout all the different phases in a project that is recognized at the international level.
